Experience for success.
BART SIMMONS
Bart, with over 40+ years of silviculture and watershed management experience, is one of the very few ecologists that understands the importance of riparian ecosystems to water quality and fish and wildlife habitat in both urban and remote watersheds. He has developed a strong expertise in the assessment of riparian integrity, vegetative health and the development of cost efficient solutions to deal with deficiencies in riparian functionality. Bart helped develop the assessment methodology for the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks and Ministry of Forests Watershed Restoration Technical Circular No. 6 – Riparian Assessment and Prescription Procedures guideline and has carried out riparian assessments and adaptive management solutions on over 50 coastal BC watersheds and supervised riparian restoration implementations on 20 watershed projects in Coastal BC involving First nations crews.
Hannah Simmons
Hannah graduated from McGill University, majoring in environmental sciences with a specialization in earth science and economics. Hannah has been quantifying GHG emission reductions and generating carbon offsets across multiple project types to ISO 14064 for over four years. She has consulted to government and industry groups on effective energy efficiency policy mechanisms for GHG reporting and compliance strategies. She has experience in managing the planning, execution and technical analysis of carbon quantification projects. As a foundational member of Cap-Op Energy, she led business development efforts to acquire new clients for the Distributed Energy Efficient Project Platform (DEEPP), custom-built oil and gas energy efficiency project aggregation and carbon offset quantification engine. She also developed financial models to determine the return on investment for a suite of energy efficiency technologies to reveal the value of carbon offsets for existing and prospective clients.
ERI FOSTER
Eri has over 20 years of project management experience, supervising crews to ensure proper project implementation. Eri has completed a diverse range of projects and assessments involving riparian habitat, in-stream and foreshore restoration; as well as created multiple wetland and bio-filtration ponds. Eri has also completed projects involving: tree densification in parks, planting of native species along road right-of-ways and stream-banks, passive water treatments to improve water quality to fish streams, biodiversity enhancement and landslide rehabilitation.
Sophie simmons
Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and has contributed to the implementation of restoration and conservation projects. Sophie has also participated in marine research projects collecting samples, performing laboratory analysis and report writing.
